Introduction
This special airworthiness information bulletin is issued to notify
the field of the availability of an alternative method of compliance
(AMOC) for AD 87-09-01.
Background
The current type-certificate holder has issued a change to the technical note specified in the AD.
Recommendations
Use of the changed technical note as an AMOC is recommended as the
changed Technical Note 209-1/87 Change 1 (October 21, 2008) supersedes
the technical note identified in the AD. There are no technical
ramifications; the actions of the AD remain the same. The attached FAA
memorandum is the AMOC approval.
