SPECIAL AIRWORTHINESS INFORMATION BULLETIN
Aircraft Certification Service
Washington, DC
U.S. Department of Transportation
Federal Aviation Administration
CE-09-43

July 24, 2009

This is information only. Recommendations aren’t mandatory.

Introduction

This special airworthiness information bulletin is issued to notify the field of the availability of an alternative method of compliance (AMOC) for AD 87-09-01.

Background

The current type-certificate holder has issued a change to the technical note specified in the AD.

Recommendations

Use of the changed technical note as an AMOC is recommended as the changed Technical Note 209-1/87 Change 1 (October 21, 2008) supersedes the technical note identified in the AD. There are no technical ramifications; the actions of the AD remain the same. The attached FAA memorandum is the AMOC approval.
